Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi, I have a 2009 Ford Bantam 1.6 Rocam, I exchanged the motor with a
overhauled one but now it has a noise in the engine that sounds like
something is loose more in the head side and the motor wont go over
100km/h, all parts in overhauled engine is new except the valves, I have
noticed after changing the lifters that my Timing chain is loose so i have
tensioned it again, can anyone assist??

Your original 2009 1600 Rocam engine engine had a knock sensor, and you have possibly installed the earlier level 1600 engine without the knock sensor. You must have the latest level 1600 from 2008 onwards with the smaller computer box. (Part number 5S69-12A650-AB

Your 2009 Rocam engine has a knock sensor. You have posiibly fitted the earlier 1600 without the knock sensor. You must also make sure you have the later model flywheel with 26 minus '2' teeth for the crank angle sensor Rotor pick up.
