first off,do you hear the pump run 2 seconds at key on? if so then pressure check at fuel rail, and if low why? pinch off return at pressure regulator for test,or pull vaccume off regulator for a test, thats a start anyway
When i switch my key on i don't hear the pump run almost like there's no power supply to feed the pump
Most bantams pumps are so quiet you cant hear them. Check the righthand side of your injectors/fuelrail there is 2 fuel pipes that clip on the fuel rail the bottom one is from the pump. Push the 2clips on it to remove it and clip it back again. Do this 2 or 3 times to make sure the oneway valve in it is opening. Then try and start it if still nothing, then have someone try start it, and while the engine is turning clip loose the bottom pipe. You should have some petrol. Presure, just watch your eyes. If there is no sign of any presure, reset your management system. You can do this by removing both batery terminals, turn the ignition To start position and at the same time push the brakes for about 10 seconds. This is to drain all electricity from your management system and all capasitors that might have stored electricity that could keep any wrong feulmaps memory. Reconnect batery terminals and try start again. If still nothing, recheck for feul presure by uncliping the bottom feul pipe. If still nothing check that the plug, Botom right of the intake manufault at the throttle is pluged in and no loose wires. Also check the harness plug to the right of that that runs over thegearbox. Those 2 plugs work the fuelpump. The harness on the fuel rail that runs left of the head to the crankangle cam sensor and to the back firewall to another harness plug works the spark the and the injectors pulse rate. If there is no presure on the bottom feul pipe check the harness on the right with all its plugs. Pull them out and back in 2. Or 3 times to make sure there is no dry conection. You could also check the oil presure Guage underneath the inlet manufault. As far as i know on early rocam models as a safty mesure the fuel pump would cut if no oil presure reading. If still nothong jeeees dude, fuses are not the only things to blow, there is also relays involved. I doubt you would have any obstruction in the feul line, as i have never come across that one on a bantam yet. If you are still batling after all i have given you i suggest. An auto electrician or if you wana try and solve it yourself, id be more than happy to dropbox you my complete all models ford bantam rocam petrol and diesel 1655 odd page workshop manual. Pdf. Just shout ill make it available.

I appreciate the answer given by Janus. I wish i could get that workshop manual for rocam 1.6. My email address is lloydtsiane@yahoo.com. my car keeps jerking. Put paddle flat but does not pick up until it decides. Drive for thirty minutes it loses power and cant drive anymore. When u hit the accelerator it drops even further but idles. Changed trottle body and the manufault with everything on it, plug cabbles but still. Overhauled engine and recon the head. I'm so frustated
Check my answer to Pieter who has the same problem

Hi. thanks for the answer. I believe the answer you are referring to is the one of bridging the relay right? if so, does it also apply to a car which moves but does'nt reach... say 160kph? by the way i tried some 1.8 vw injectors on the car, it pulls fine but it overfuels after a while and heavy on feul. right now i'm driving with 1.6 vw injectors. feul consumption is fine but cannot reach 160kph and you can still feel the drag though very far.
Hi, Janus - do you still see this thread? Guys my Ford Bantam picked up a system malfunction - according to the manual the lights reveal this as " control light (next to the clock) illuminates continuously for approximately 1 minute and then flashes repeatedly at irregular intervals, a system malfunction has occurred." What can I do?

Hi I have the same problem like you Luis 3 my that red light next to clock is flushing fast fast and the car is just cranking but not start.Rocam 1.3 2004
Hi everyone my bantam 1.3 rocam has a similar issue, i had my coil burn out so i replaced the coil with leads as well as spark plugs, the car turns over but does not run, i have feul coming in and out of manafault, i replaced both cam and crank sensors and still the same problem, i then push started the car until she eventually took now she will idle but as soon as i accelerate she back fires and drops revs, i have made sure the leads are connected correctly 1-4 and even tried swopping around just in case, can my oxygen sensor cause this issue? Its the only thing i have not yet replaced?

Back Firing is caused by ur timing, Dont Force start it have ur timing Checked before u bunned ur valves.
