My ford ka 2006 model started overheating the mechanic came and told me is
a cylinder head needs to be checked and i did and bought everything new
including water pump thermstat housing . And after he is done the car still
doing the same. Would you plse help me what can be the cause of this.

Get rid of that mechanic , he just taken your money doesn't know what he doing
Its either vakve cover gasket or head gasket engine ready to go sorry to say

Thanks for your help. However the gasket is new and new water pump. What exactly can be the problem?
On these Ka's check the 'Lip' of the filler for the coolant expansion tank where the Radiator cap screws onto. Check if there is a rough edge or a ridge that sticks up. Ford sent out a bulletin that this small ridge was to be removed as it prevents the cap from sealing correctly.
