Hi - My Bantam Rocam spluttered and then broke down completely. Fuse blew every time that we tried to replace it. ECU (computer) we traced the problem back to the coil pack which was cracked. All the leads were fine. We replaced the coil pack with a genuine part and repaired the blown parts in the ECU. All fine now at a cost of 5.500 rands ( approx 400 USD)

Try also the transceiver (Ignition Key reader) . Did you drop the ignition key at any time ? It could also be the transmitter in the key.

Remember, Not all the Bantam Computer boxes you get from Scrap yards are OK. The Immobilizer warning light on the Bantam is next to the clock. When the ignition is switched on the light will come on for a few seconds then go off. If the LED stays on, or does not come on at all there is a problem with the ECU. If the LED flashes quickly for a while , it then flashes a code. It could be the Key or transceiver/Key reader or harness between Key reader and PCM. There is someone in Pretoria who repairs these units. The Phone number is :0820606425

Sounds like the PCM needs repair. Check first the Power Hold relay( Little brown relay) Swop it with another relay.
