Did you fit a genuine Ford Coil ? I've found that over the years some pirate coil packs can be suspect. It coild also be the coil drivers in the Computer Box. Try another one off another vehicle. These Computer Boxes can be repaired.
I have tried that, a coil from another vehicle vehicle, it failed to run smooth on my car but it work well on the owner's car. I will have the coil drivers checked. Thanks!
Hi there. I seem to have the same problem. Where can i find the coil drivers?
Have got the right Computer box for that vehicle's engine. If you have the computer box for the Fiesta 98 1400, the engine will start and run, but the ignition timing will be out and will burn the coil out.
Hi there i never touched my computer box. My problem started slightly different. My previous 1.6 rocam motor blew. I have replaced it. I also replaced all sensors ect except fuel pump or fuel filter. My vehicle was serviced shortly before i went up north and unfortunately my motor blew when one of my water pipes got a hole in it and lost all my water without any warning from the car regarding vehicle heat or anything. I stoped my car when i smelled something burning. Well that was the end of the motor. I have replaced it with a rocam 1.6 but i seem to have a slow start and no power when i accelerate. Timing is correct and so is the firing order.
The computer box should be converted to 1600 which we can do. Did you fit the orginal fly wheel from the old engine.
The previous engine was a 1.6 so thats why i saw no need to change computer box as my replacement motor is a 1.6 As for the fly wheel yes i did fit the original from old engine.
Try this : Cranks, but does not start. The starter solenoid wire is running in the same channel as the crank angle sensor. When the starter solenoid is energized this induces a higher voltage into the crank angle sensor wiring. Move this solenoid wire out of the crank angle sensor wiring channel. Check the condition of the main starter cable from the battery to the starter. Clean the terminals and the amperage draw on this cable. Check the earth cable from the battery negative to the body and fit an extra earth cable from the battery Neg terminal to the gearbox.
My Ford bantum is loosing power is it because of my lifters are making noise also the light of engen oil is always showing l dnt kno what's wrong
Sounds like the oil pump is faulty. There is no oil pressure in the system if the oil light stays ON all the time.
