headlight not working

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

This is an extension of my previous question. I had a guy from advance test my bulb, it
works. He then used volt meter and found that the black wire had no reading, he said it
was probably a break in the wire farther down. I was told I could by pass paying
someone to follow the wire, and just splice a new one a little below connector and
connect it to ground on the vehicle. Is this common? I really don't have the money to
pay someone, but, I need headlight working. Thanks for any info.

It was the black wire, I'm assuming it is the ground. Thank you

front left headlight wont word. i replace the bulb nothing. check fuses good. the right one works. what the problem
