How do I reset the computer

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My battery was going dead ihad to jump it
off several times before getting another one.
I put in the new battery and now the
transmission won't shift out of third gear. A
buddy put a code reader on it, cleared the
codes, and it ran fine right after that. The
next morning I was back to the same
problems .. what do I do to fix it???

Something to do with the battery, I have already replaced it .I don't remember exactly what the codes were. I can find out this afternoon

Same think happened to me battery light came on transmission shift down whipper slow, pulled over road side, no light or anything, key wouldn’t even come out?
