OK....if the emissions system is working properly..the light should go out soon after you put 2.5 gallons or more of DEF into the tank....the DEF light is supposed to be similar to the low fuel gauge system. Sometimes the guage will not work correctly and will require a reset from Mercedes Benz dealership.... Good luck with that...
The Disel Exhaust indicator light came on and the DEF check light went on after I filled up with disel gas .

I would suggest that no one buys an mercedes diesel in sprinter body. No one wants to service them. I live in El Paso, a city of one million and there is no warranty service for 300 miles.
