Does Carguru have any standard for checking the used car salesman? I found a beautiful ten year old car with 85k for $4350 car at a small dealer .

$4350 is decent enough to
get a Decent Car right?
Advertised on CarGurus  as
"excellent", was test driven,
and talked details and agreed
to a Price, deposit and a
Prepurchase Inspection.
Arranged,and paid for by
me,the buyer, proved a
All under car  rusty,, battery
tires.2 leaks, worn out, trans
major issues, "NOT worth
400$" so I shared the info and
bowed out of the deal. Whew
dodged a Lemon! .YET  the
dealer kept it advertised for
that price that week, then I
assume it sold , So somebody  
else got the Lemon! At least
Carfax uses Some basis in
facts, of the reality of the cars
history. Cargurus doesnt
cross or fact check anything
at all. Then as.the price drops
they even.call it " A Great
Deal".

You are on your own. If you like a car have a professional mechanic check it out before buying. There is no way CG's could check out millions of cars for sale. Car Fax only reports information that is reported to them. They don't check out cars either.

In my opinion 4 grand is marginal at best when you are looking for a "decent car".
