If the right car for me is in Washington state and I’m in Maryland how can I get it to me?

Cargurus is an ad site. So you will work with the seller directly on actually purchasing the vehicle first. I would suggest you have the car inspected by a third party company like Lemonsquad. I like to buy my vehicle by touching and driving them first. An inspection is around $300, and shipping the vehicle will be over $1000. I only suggest buying a long distance vehicle if it is an antique or one of a kind you can't get anywhere else. What year is the beetle? I would be patient and find one closer to you if it is a recent model.
Excellent advice from TDolby. Plus if the vehicle is being offered for a price well below what other similar vehicles are advertised for be wary of it. The vehicle may be in poor mechanical condition or have a jaded past. You should also factor the shipping and inspection costs into the purchase price. With all this added together, is it really a bargain? Hope that helps! Jim
You are virtually guaranteed to be disappointed in the car if you do not inspect it in person. Any cost savings will likely be eaten up by the shipping costs.
