Srt for awhile now will not turn over

We have a 91 Toyota prevera van and we put a new  
ignition in and its been setting for over a year due
to lost key. Now we found key put a battery in it
and can't get it to turn over . Need to know what to
do to get it started.  HELP PLEASE!

if it has a security system it probably has you locked out,security light should be located on dash just under instrument cluster left side of steering wheel. try locking and unlocking the drivers door with key.
