How did you blow it up?? Well, another 2000 WRX Subaru STI engine?

a blown WRX? yeah, they invite that- now you want to fix it on the cheap? I would guess selling it "as is" and getting a more docile car would be more cost effective-

I'm with jam'n here unless you're one of those richer well-employed- yet-still-at-home young turks who's masochism continues unabated. Serial-WRX'ing is also HUGE ticket-bait. Somehow the cops have inner-brain radar for these hormonal iterations. Black out the windows or add a whale tail and the Easter egg hunt gets ferocious!

wow guys.. he's after "no hassle" here.. not asking where he can get dem JDM twin terby injuns.. Daniel, you might try www.opposedforces.com and see what range your engine was used (if it's on there). You might research more on the forums and see if there's a long block year range that still works but you keep your intake/sensors setup to put on the new engine. You can then try craigslist or car-part.com and also look around for pick-n-pull type places in your area and hope to get lucky. If the car wasn't wrecked, I probably wouldn't bother with the engine. You also don't want an engine that has a busted timing belt (timing belt cover shrapnel) as that will have head/valve/piston damage. Good luck.
