2019 Nissan Pathfinder Platinum

Asked by WillSue 23 hours ago about the Nissan Pathfinder Hybrid

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Why doesn't the park reverse, neutral and drive lights consistently work?

The SUV has a shark tooth for an antenna, why does the radio consistently
glitch and go in and out?

What do you do for both of these issues?
Thank you.

Nissans have always had electrical problems, anything from broken wires to module failures, so you just have to dive in and find the actual problem. As far as the radio, you need to rule out an antenna problem by testing its resistance, if it reads closed or shorted then it is the antenna, but these usually wind up being the radio itself with the problems.

I noticed that the radio glitch is exactly every three minutes, it goes out for about 20 seconds or so each time. What are your thoughts ? Would replacing the shark tooth stop this issue ?

You need to run the tests first. I doubt it is an antenna issue cause of the way it's timed at 3 minutes like that, chances are very high that there is an internal radio issue.
