Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hi I have a problem with my Suzuki Vitara air conditioner condensation water
leaking into the front passenger foot well. I am 100% sure it is condensation. I
have taken the external hose of and even made a short clear plastic hose up
myself to check the hose is not blocked. I have shoved pipe cleaners and wire
into the outlet from the engine bay to make sure of no blockages. It is coming
from a foam like seal inside the cabin between the firewall and the ac unit.
How do I fix this without ripping the dash out.
thanks Phil

It is condesation leaking from the centre of the console. Lift the passenger front carpet and run the air con. After about 20 minutes you will see water dripping into the passenger side. Try silastic around the drain where it goes thru the floor

I am having the same problem with my 2003 Vitara with only 73K miles, it is the A/C condensation on the passenger side. I will try some of the above suggestions. Thanks Pete

I fixed my 2011 Grand Vitara with the same issue. It had an adapter on the end of the condensation line to extend it enough to get through the firewall. The seal for this adapter wears out after time then the adapter is loose and allows water to drip into the passenger compartment. I bought a cheap endoscopic camera on Amazon that connects to your cellphone over WiFi to be able to see under there. Then a tube of Sika Flex that goes into a caulk gun. Find where the leak is coming from. The let everything dry out. I used half a tube of the Sika Flex and sealed all around it. It has been over a year and has been working with no leaks.

2003 Grand Vitara, 86000 Miles, AC condensation has done MASSIVE damage to the PCM because of where the water comes from and where the PCM is mounted. FIX THIS LEAK IMMEDIATELY THEN CHECK YOUR PCM. MINE IS DAMAGED SEVERALLY (STILL OPERATES) FROM WATER DAMAGE BECAUSE OF THIS ISSUE!
