My car stalled..a boost would not start it..I got a used fully charged battery but it still does not start...I bought a used alternator but haven't got my guy to come in to change it..how do you know if it's the right one??

If the battery is charged and it won't start, the alternator is probably not the problem.

I am single working mother and can't afford to keep paying these ppl..oh geez guess I better think of what else can be the problem..

Thank you Soo much..this is very helpful. The man who sold me this vehicle has not told me much..he won't answer my calls..Another Friend of the family mentioned something about the command start..do u think the command start can have anything to do with all this?? A mlfunction or something lol it sounds weird but never know right??

At first I was sure it was the battery..so I went exchanged it..not making a difference..I also bought an alternator thinking that was the problem..but waiting for someone to come over and fix that for me...it's frustrating..

Have all connections checked for corrosion especially the battery and starter connections. If they look corroded or are even slightly loose they will not allow enough power to get from the battery to he starter.
