Crank no start

I have a 2000 audi a6 quattro 2.7t, ibe
replaced fuel pump because i couldnt hear it
humm. New pump didnt solve problem i
took the fuel line off at the rail and it pump
fuel when cranking but when i turn key to
just the ON position it doesnt humm and
doest pump any fuel....car just cranks and
cranks what could be wrong?

Thank you for your reply...fuse is fine relay seems to work and regulator i havent checked. I just dont get why when its cranking that it pumps fuel to the rail at least but still wont start and only primes once if i disconnect and reconnect the battery
