Toyota Avalaon (2004) -- help please -- codes P0135 and C0210, Check Engine, VSC, Trac lights

Help please! I have a 2004 Toyota Avalon. The Check Engine, VSC, Trac
lights all came on.

I tried disconnecting the battery to reboot the display. The lights remained
on.

I went to an auto-shop to get a computer system diagnostic, and got two
codes back:

P0135 Oxygen Sensor Heater Bank 1 Sensor 1
C0210 Right Rear Wheel Speed Sensor Malfuncition

I'm betting this all just means my brake pads need replacing. They are due
sometime soon. But before I have a mechanic try and sell me extra things,
or charge forever to guess the problems, does anyone here know what
these codes mean and what REALLy needs to be fixed?

You need what the codes say: replace the oxygen sensor in the indicated location and the speed sensor on the right rear wheel. The speed sensor may just need to be clean and, once the brake job is done, the code will go away. But it may be damaged and you are getting the code just at the time that a brake job is required. Just ask to have the oxygen sensor replaced and the brake job, if the code for the speed sensor stays on, then work on that.
