Twist the headlight/turn signal lever knob. Position 1 Parking, tail, license plate, side marker and instrument panel lights Position 2 Headlights and all of the above, If you don't want them on twist the signal lever to the off position........

i have tried all positions, and light still stays on,this car was built in canada,is it some kind of safety thing,it's not really the headlights,it's a smaller light on inside of light fixture.

DRL's are on . The only way to shut them off while parked and engine running is to shut car off ; engage emergency brake (pull up on hand brake); restart car. It wont shut off lights if you just engage emergency brake with car running.

Does the DRL stay permanently shut off after that trick, or does it reset when you turn the car back on again the next time?
