limited slip rear-posi traction rearend.i think they are only on the GT.should be easy swapout.
You can get GT takeoff axles with limited slip and 3.73s and 8.8" rearend for around a grand online. Not sure how much install would be, or how much work it would be to do yourself. Probably better off to do that than to spend $300 for a limited slip, $200 for gears, and $500 for install.. then still have a 7.5" rearend.
Yeah man just upgrade to the 8.8" GT rear end. It's a lot more durable and will take a lot more abuse than the 7.5"
another way is the easyest but not the best you can weld the rear end derby style
Yea, and then scrub the hell out of the tires every time he takes a turn. Not to mention if this fails, so does your entire axle. A cheap mini spool will do the same thing and is a better deal then welding.
yea i kno but both wheels turn haha you never said anything else
LOL, true. Both wheesl will turn.
do not weld the gears to make full posi you will snap your axel and as far as spinning hold down the brake and giver gas to see if they spin
if you want both wheels to turn you have to change your diff carrier... the v6 up until 2004 had a one wheel peal diff... where as all gt models had limited slip rear ends. if you want both to turn you will need to do both.....personally with a v6 i wouldnt put 3:73 gears kin the rear end, but i would sugest the limited slip rear end... you will notice the difference.... if your not making serious power, dont swap the rear end gears..
yo its rear wheel drive !
foot brake not your hand brake only 20% of the brake force is actually on the back brakes just over power them
better make sure that you check all your clearances and pinion depth...if you dont you'll end up replacing your gear not far down the road.
