from what i can work out the 93 paseo engine (5E-FE built 1990 to 1998) was also fitted to the same era Sera, Tercel, Raum, Corolla, Corsa, Caldina, Cynos. in 95 the ignition system was changed, deleting the distributor and rather employing a coil over plug design, also the pistons were changed to flat tops and thinner head gasket and then again in 97 the fuel system was changed to run without a fuel return to the tank.

I have a 1996 Toyota Tercel it is an automatic I am wanting to change it to a manual preferably a 5-speed but they're really hard to find so what kind of Transmissions will interchange with the Toyota Tercel and what year models and cars will interchange my understanding a Paseo is the same is that true
