hit the starter with a hammer. if it starts, then starter is bad,but first check your battery cables.if theyre loose then it can do it to
Generally when you hit the starter with a hammer, someone should be trying to start the vehicle at the same time. If you only hit the starter and then try to start the vehicle afterwards it still might not work. I have had to do this many times with two seperate vehicles, however, I never got a click out of it when the starter was the cause. Usually this will only work if some of the gearing is sloppy in the starter or if foreign material gets inside of it.

did you drive or own anything other gm? what the hammer does is it knocks the commutater dust off so theres contact from it and the fields. a low or bad battery can cause a no click or start.

were the other cars made by ford? ifso then heres a trick i found out. there system has a sepreate relay near the battery. loosen every nut and bolt to it and retiten it. i like this system but thats the only goofy thing about it, because the relay( not soliniod) tens to shake loose. to kevin
