The knock in your engine is telling you to get a new engine you destroy it pretty soon it will not run anymore.

There is no correction possible until the engine is taken apart and all the abused parts are replaced. This is what is meant by "an engine rebuild" . If you feel you do not have the knowledge or tools or both, then best find a mechanic that can do the work for you. Get a price estimate first and try to select a mechanic with a good reputation - talk to friends that have had similar work done and get their recommendations who to hire. Good Luck
