Changed tires/rims

Question type: Car Customization

Changed standard tires/rims on 2008 Escape to alloy rims from a 2010 Escape. Now
TPMS indicator blinks at first then becomes solid on. Can the TPMS be retrained
without any tool? I tried OFF/RUN 3times, Brake, ON/OFF 3 more times, horn
beeped.
Am I to lower tire pressure on all four and then retrain? Please explain, thanks!

I dont think that the tpms sensors on an 08 and a 2010 are interchangable. the 2010 uses a sensor attached to the valve stem and the 08 uses a band style mounted on the rim. the sensors can be transfered from your old rims but you would need to buy bands and valve stems.
