Changed two of those in my 96 and 99. Here's the problem. The gear in the motor is made of plastic and has finally given up after 16 years. Save some time and do not search for the two buck gear because they are not available. Besides, the motor is sealed and it will not come apart.
The track for the window is rivited to the inside metal door portion. If memory serves there are two rivits, you'll have to drill them out. Place a wooden wedge between the glass and the outside door to hold the glass up.
After you remove the bolts holding the motor to the door you will have to do some manuevering to get the motor out, but it will come out. Replace the two rivits with machine screws and lock washer about 1/2 inch long. But the head of the screw in from the back side so it does not interfer with the movement of the window. If you use a screw which is too long you'll have to cut it off to replace the door panel.
For a first timer, look at about one hour.
