If you are speaking about the bellows which cover the ball joints, the ball joint is not serviceable as an individual and the entire arm must be replaced. I found a machine shop which can press the old ball out and install a new one which comes with the bellows. At any rate the 96 has a torsion bar suspension. Removing the arms requires the torsion bars to be removed, the process is too long to explain here. There are no special tools required as I have done this several times on 96's and 99's which I own. The torsion bars are under a lot of tension, DANGER.
