My 2013 Ford Explorer -Power - drivers seat goes fordward , will not move back

If it does up & down, the front and back motor is bad. You may have to buy the whole seat rail assy tho.

Check to make sure you have power to seat switch for forward and aft, sounds like a faulty switch.

The seat motor is 12V DC. Meaning the motor runs in reverse when polarity to the motor is reversed via the switch. If it runs in one direction, probably the switch. Check the motor with a 12 V jumper wire by reversing the connections.

we had the same problem on the passenger seat and now the drivers seat...is this commons problem?
