2013 ford explorer passenger power seat goes back but not forward

The passenger motor seat will go back but not forward.

Remove the D.C motor from under the seat. Run a jumper from the battery and connect to the terminals on the motor. Motor should run. Reverse connection and the motor runs in the other direction. If it operates properly check the switch.
