How do I disengage 4x4 low in my 2010 explorer?

Place the vehicle in neutral while engine is running and vehicle is not moving and switch the selector out of 4x4 low. If it doesn't come out of 4x4 low some investigating needs to happen. First thing I would look at is the transfer case fluid level and condition.
