Best model year used ford f150

Asked by Christy Sep 26, 2019 at 10:28 PM about the Ford F-150

Question type: General

Looking to buy a used Ford F-150 from
model year 2012-2017. Which year has the
best reliability/performance/least repair
history? Also which model would tow the
most weight?

1 Answer

They are all good. With used trucks always have a mechanic check it out for problems before buying. Low mile trucks will be a better choice. The V8's or the 3.5 Ecoboost will have the most towing capacity but choose a truck with the tow package. What weight do you plan on towing? Generally speaking you can tow 7,000 pounds but some trucks can tow up to 10,000. I would suggest a F250 once you get over 8,000 pounds.
