2012 Ford F150 HVAC odd
As mentioned above I have a 2012 Ford F150 5.0L with dual auto climate
control.
First issue
1: Blower stopped working all together. So i replaced the AC blower relay
with no luck
2: Then I replaced the AC blower resistor and still nothing. The odd thing
here is that I left the new resistor in and the next day I drove my truck the fan
was on full blast. Taking it off of auto climate did nothing and I could not
change the blower motor speed. (would think that's the resistor?!?! but its
brand new)
Second issue
1: now that the fans are running on high and high only symptoms pointing to
the AC blend door because the pass side temp is different even on auto
climate control, temp can't be changed manually either.
Third issue
1: I heard some groaning coming from what sounded like the blower motor
aka fan motor.
Is it possible that multiple things all failed at once or are these symptoms
pointing towards some other issue like HVAC control module, thermal sensor
or even a ECU? The only things I have left to replace is the blend door,
control module, thermal sensor, blower motor.
Trying to save myself a little money here and really hoping some people
would have some insight on this or experienced similar issues. (I looked over
other posts and didn't see anything relating to this particular "odd" situation.
With that being said, thanks in advance for any tips or advice. It 's always
greatly appreciated!!!
