Just bought a new solenoid relay switch for my 1992 Ford F 150 and replaced battery. When I thought I was done went to start truck and everything went dead. Did I just "FRY" my new solenoid relay?

Bought new solenoid relay starter switch for my Ford F 150 pickup.  Did not
follow instructions when taking off wire connections to the ne solenoid.  When
I thought I was done, went to start truck (put in new battery) and everything
went dead.  Did I just FRY my new SOLENOID RELAY SWITCH?

check fuses and fusible links and ALL your work before hooking batt. back up , a multi tester would be useful , I don't know why you would replace the solenoid only

Because it is not the one attached to the starter but in the engine compartment and it was bad. Now you know.
