Will tranny fit?

I have a 98 ford ranger 4.0 4x4 that has a bad tranny. Will a tranny from a 99 ford ranger 4.0 4x4 fit?

it should work check the date of manufacturing you my find the 99 was early in the year and the 98 is late year ...also check the vin #'s then go to the internet on how to read the vins it may also tell you they are the same...i think it will work for you...

I have a 2005 Ford Escape with a 3.0 V6 engine and I would like to know if the transmission will fit a 96 Ford Ranger with a 3.0 V6 how can I tell if the Transmissions are interchangeable
