What would be the best way to beef up my v6 thunderbird?

I was gonna say that also but if you want a quick horse power increase id try talking to people on a Ford or Thunderbirds forum they would know more about the engines of those.
Add a turbocharger. For the v6, you should probably put it at about 4 pounds of boost.
I'm not sure what generation thunderbird you have, but the 10th gen (1989-1997) had a supercharged version of the 3.8L V6. I'm not sure if they dropped the compression ratio for the SC version, but the max boost was around 12 PSI. If you don't want to spend that much money you can always go for intake, headers and exhaust (IHE). If that not enough then maybe some cams, standalone ECU and an upgraded fuel system. Im not really sure whats out there for your car, but it may be by the time you ad all of that it would have been cheaper to just add a turbo/supercharger. I doubt the compression ratio on that car is very high so you (probably) won't have to change our the pistons if you keep the boost at a reasonable level. If you do go boost, it may be worth it to invest in an ECU system or at least a remap of your ecu... Maybe you can just take the parts off of the supercharged v6 motor. Good luck and I hope I didn't ramble too much.

the motor will not handle turbo or supercharging...get a turbo coupr motor or preferable a v-8
