351 W is a small block engine, 351 C is a big block (small big block Family) engine Identification of the 351W & 351C is easy. The 'W' has 5 bolt valve covers and the radiator upper hose connects to the intake manifold. The 'C' has 8 bolt valve covers and the upper radiator hose does not connect to the intake manifold.
