Have you checked the Float in the carb that it may have a small clog in the jet or needs to be adjusted, did you change the gas filter...did you check all the vac hoses for any cracks ? I think you have 3 to 4 hoses on the carb for a 73. If I were you I would just get new hoses and change them all out...Did you set the idle mix correctly. turn these two screws down all the way (Slowly) till hey are bottomed out and the turn them CCW two to two and half turns.
Either the carb as suggested above, the fuel pump, the coil or the condenser located under the distributer cap mounted on the breaker plate.

i will certainly try all these. My hoses are pretty new. But will check again. Thanks again for all of your responses. This is driving me nuts. LOl.
