tail lights and headlights wont turn off

my tail lights on my 2006 windstar van stay on when I shut the van off and will not shut off and one time my headlights would not shut off at all, can someone please point me in the right direction...thanks

The Windstar uses Modules (aka processors) to control the lights in the rear and front of the vehicle. The Rear Electronics Module as it's called, is located beneath the jack on the right rear of the cargo area. It also controls the power door locks for the right front, sliding door and rear hatch as well as the fuel gauge. The relays for this system are always hot with the key on and the module supplies ground to operate the lights. About $400 for the module so make sure that's what it is before you plop down that kind of cash.
