I've owned 2 legacy a 1995 witch had 120k when I bought it and 180k when I sold it and it was a champ my current legacy I bought with 62k and it now has 107k and it still runs perfect I would drive it across the country and not feel worried about a thing
they run forever buy one with a full service history and keep it properly serviced you should not have any problems i have had mine since new in 1996 and it still runs great and has never let me down.
I didn't do a perfect job of oil maintenance and overheated the engine twice, which leads to blowing the head gasket, a 2000 dollar repair. Apart from this, the car has been STELLAR mechanically and has made it 240,000 miles with standard maintenance (fluids refilled, replacement of cables, etc)
my dad's subaru hit 370,000 today its a 2002 outback had to replace the radiator and new seals for the coolant part
1998 Legacy Outback 2.5L with 220,000 miles. Original Engine and Transmission, changed head gaskets at 196,000
I just hit 193.000 with my 2005 Outback. I purschased it used with 91,000. Its now having the driveshaft serviced. I'm sure I will get another 150,000 or more out of it...Great car !!
I have 250,000 on my 98 legacy.
1998 outback 220000 M 2006 B-9 150000M 2006 B-9 100000M still have Em all Regular maintenance no problem won't buy anything else.
I have a 2017 legacy, 88 thousand on it change my oil every 35 hundred have had no issues.
