There something wrong with the new engine i put in my Subaru

Asked by GuruLB328 Apr 04, 2019 at 09:59 PM about the Subaru Outback

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I just put a brand new engine in my 1997
Subaru Legacy Outback it had vacuum lines
on the engine before the new engine that I
have now has no vacuum lines to the little
black pump that the vacuum lines used to
connect to now when I start my Subaru
Legacy I'm having problems with the RPMs I
will start it up and the RPMs will be to zero
to one and when I put it in reverse it over
revs to 7 I mean 6 to 7 RPMs and will not
move but when I put it in drive it over revs to
4000 RPMs and moves and runs but goes
no more than 20 miles an hour and when I
go more than 40 over revs to 7000 RPMs
and overheats are my vacuum lines missing
because I'm the new engine now I bought
this engine has no vacuum lines but the
1997 Subaru Legacy Outback requires
vacuum lines as I'm being told by a friend
but the engine that I put in the 1997 Subaru
Outback does not have vacuum lines please
help me
