My speedometer quits. Why? How do i fix it?

I had a Honda Accord that did this. I had to get a new instrument cluster, not cheap, sorry. Take your car to your mechanic, this is not something that you're likely to solve by yourself. In my case they checked out a number of electronic issues, fuses and connections, but, in the end I had to just get the new cluster. They'll adjust the mileage for you, there's a way to deal with that. A lot of people never have to deal with this because they don't keep their cars past 15 years. Good for you, you're saving money by keeping your car longer. Look at it this way, any repairs you make no matter how expensive they appear to be is less than $400 per month for 60 months to purchase a new or CPO car.
