What does it mean when the service engine soon light comes on?

Get an oil change. That light does not mean anything is wrong with your car, it triggered by mileage as a reminder for oil changes and routine maintenance, such as rotate tires. It should not be confused with CEL Check Engine Light

Put a code reader and see why itll tell you what it is... some or most all parts places like auto zone or O'Reilly will do it for you to

In fact it is the same as the check engine light. Mitsubishi uses Service Engine Soon for the same function. I would read the codes with an OBD2 scanner. You can do this yourself. Anyone who like to fix or at least understant their car problem, look up "Mitsubishi Service Engine Light Soon on Youcanic" Just follow the steps in the guide and you will be in the right path.
