too much and they cost a fortune to fix... get a mustang
I bought a 2002 Cooper S with 100.000 miles and paid $6,500. Been a wonderful car, with absolutely no problems, and I've put 20,000 miles on it in the eight months I've had it. Perfect car for long distance or in town driving. Good EPA MPG around 30 if Super/Turbo and about 40 if NA (Naturally Aspirated). Great handling, fun to drive, and turns heads everywhere! Great for a first car.

Brand new, you're looking at anywhere from $27,000+ they aren't cheap to buy new. But I'm don't buy brand new vehicles....loose their value too quickly...try finding one with a few miles on it. They're for sale everywhere.
