okay, I'd start first with the mass air flow sensor...as the goodie that tells the computer how rich to make the mixture...https://www.google.com/#q=1999+Oldsmobile+Eighty- Eight+intake+air+temp+sensor&tbm=shop&spd=14282987177776083994

there are any number of concerns that can precipitate your condition...that's just one wild-ass educated guess~
Thank you for your help. I will let my husband know what you said, he changed the spark plugs and then it started spraying either gas out or some other kind of fluid out Im not sure. Then tried to drive it back home and it wouldn't start. Before all this it has had a leak under the car and that was a power steering hose that took care of that and it hasn't been wanting to drive well. When we back it out of our carport and put it in drive its like real sluggish going and it will go then its sluggish again when you come up to a stop sign or stop light. When your on the highway it does pretty good but know since he changed the spark plugs now it won't even start. Does that sound like it could be other problems also, could you tell me other things that you think could be wrong with it and he could check it out? I really appreciate your help our car is out at his dad's and they work on cars but don't really know much about the computer stuff not a lot but he is learning. Thanks so much. Operator 13. Thanks Again, Kim
