what makes a vechile spill out the water when being pour into the radiator when turn on and can a burst fan belt cause that to happen

my 1991toyota pickup got over heated and when i pour water in the radiator it
keeps boiling out through the hole it was poured in but i also notice that the
nfan belt was burst!could that be the cause?

sounds like you have an air lock in the coolant sys look for a bleeder by the top radiator hose or close to that
