2018 Jeep Cherokee latitude oil problem

At 9,000 miles my Jeep started dying out while I was driving. When I took it to
my dealer they said it was very low on oil, I never got any dash alert to check
my oil or it was low. The dealer is doing an oil consumption test early 1,000
mile I am a half quart low, they aren’t doing anything but topping off my oil
and telling me to come back in 1000 miles. Would changing to synthetic oil
resolve this problem?

This is an update to my earlier question...I am at the dealer now for my 5th oil consumption test. I am the 3rd customer this week with the same issue. They are checking my vehicle right now if my oil is low again they are going to replace my engine. I guess persistence pays off!
