Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When engaging/disengaging 4X4, the steering is immediately affected in which turning, parking at low speeds (under 25mph) results in the Wheel to Jerk back and forth as if the front wheels are turning/spinning together if my assumption is correct.  I typed in 4X4 problems in google and this problem seems to be common but i cannot seems to find a particular solution or even mechanic that can help.

how sharp are you turning? and does it only occur on dry pavement? this is most likely common wheel hop or driveline binding. in 4wd all 4 wheels are locked together and spin at the same rate. when turning in the outside wheels need to spin faster than the inside wheels. this is impossible with the axles locked. so you get wheel hop which makes the steering wheel shake
