Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Obviously, Jeep dropped the ball on this one. The switch isn't rated high enough to carry the current. Anyone know where to get a heavy duty switch???

is the fuse to this switch the right amerage if it is to big it will let to much power through and burn out your switch

I'm gonna try to answer my own question lol. I found on another thread an idea. It mentioned "Heat sink" and a light went off. I believe the relay switch is overheating because it wasn't rated high enough for the current load and/or the hot environment. So, I'm going down to the electronics store and buy a heat sink and install the switch to the sink and remount it. Since I won't know if this works for about six months or so, I probably won't come back here and let you know if it works, but this is definitely a solution to the general problem of electronics failures due to inadequate heat sinking/overheating. Thanks to all, Alan
