2011 Jeep Liberty Heater Core Leak

Question type: General

My vehicle has been repaired for front end damage and when the car was returned it had
a coolant leak. The body shop is saying that the heater core is leaking and needs to be
replaced. I was not leaking prior to having front end damage being repaired. What would
cause the heater Core in a 2011 Jeep to suddenly start leaking after front repair. Radiator
was removed from the vehicle during repair process.

We took it back to the shop once and they said oh we forgot to replace the coolant. The filled it up and we drove off not really needing heat. The senario above i forgot to mention is a second time this shop has repaired front end damage. What would cause a heater core leak?
