My 2002 s80 t6 Volvo does not respond to pressing on the accelerator?

At all or with reduced power? On possibility is your car is in "limp mode" the '02 T6 has that when a transmission fault is detected, and it reduces power so you can still get off the freeway to a safe place, even to a shop, but prevent further damage. Get your OBD codes read, do not pay to have it done and do not buy anything. Write them down and bring them back here.

I put a scanner on it and it gave me generic codes P2111 and P2108?

P2108 ECM-919A Engine control module (ECM) and P2111 Throttle Unit Fault in Signal. You may need a new Engine Control Module, and the other, P2111 is just what is appears, a bad signal either to the scanner or bad signal from ECM to Throttle Control.

There are several part numbers on this unit, they follow here- p09480760 / 00001312A5 / 1T0607A00 / T01490285 Your best bet is to check the part number on your ecu and make sure it matches this one. This is one of the most common no start or random stalling problems with these Bosch ECU's. The are $80, but before you shell out that kind of money, get this confirmed, I sure do not want you to buy it on my say~so and it not be the problem, but it seems likely

Also, on a Volvo forum somebody said, and I quote: You must have the control unit programmed to the car in order for it to work at all. Only a Volvo dealer can program it. I don't know if that is really true, it's one fellow's statement. Here is another for $100

I wonder if you can get your hands one one to put in and test if it solves the problem without you having to buy it, as these things are NOT returnable. Once you buy it, it's yours..another guy said he keeps as spare in his trunk, he has had so much trouble with them.

The wording was vague, on 3 different lists of S80 fault codes I looked at, it does not specify if the signal to the scanner is not reading or the signal TO the ECM from the Throttle Control is bad, or the other way around, the signal from Throttle Control to ECM is bad. Either way, it still points to ECM.
