Acceleration problems

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The car has been a lemon. Came to Guatemala after being flooded in the
US (realized that once at home and paid for... seller just disappeared).
Engine has been apparently rebuild, but used improvised gaskets, including
RTV silicone. O2 sensors, MAP, IACV, shift solenoid, distributor cap, rotor,
spark plugs and wires have been replaced... it did work fine for a while and
the EL disappeared, then it showed rich mixture and it has been losing
power, to the extent that at times it will not move from stop even if you press
the pedal hard and you must shift to 1st gear to help it move... sometimes it
will just fly off... mileage is also very poor.. I've tried to take off the throttle
body to clean it, but it turns out, those guys just used RTV with it as well and
now is stuck... I'm really getting tired of all those problems and we are
seriously thinking of selling it... we like it and all, but all those problems just
fed us up...

by the way, IACV is from a 2004 model, with larger holes...
