Question type: Maintenance & Repair

my car was left to sit for about two years and now the electrics are ok but when ever it gets reved at more than 2 rpm it shuts off. When i put the car into drive it doesn't really get moving. I have to put it into the lowest gear and then shift up and even then i still can't get past 35, 40mph.

The car is in Default Mode The battery probably had died for an EXTENDED period of time and the the computer 'forgot' its base adjustments. If you have a dealer level tool you can relearn it. If you have a basic tool you can try clearing codes ( even if there are none there ) Then with key on press the gas pedal three times to the floor within 5 seconds or so. Shut the key off and restart and see if everything goes back to a basic normal. The computer will have to relearn your driving style Good Luck
